Along with photographing weddings, I have a real passion for photographing families, children and babies. I am very much a people photographer (with the exception of my love for photographing animals!), and I love to interact with my subjects, really get the best from them, and capture their natural emotions.
As a mother to 2 amazing children, Aaron (9) & Mia (6) I realise all too well how quickly children grow up and how important memories are. And I’m not unlike most mum’s who document these changes on a day to day basis using the camera on my phone. It’s always to hand, and quick, easy and convenient to use. So when clients come to me, I want to give them something different: a piece of artwork, a family heirloom and something they can put on the wall
Throughout 2017 I have worked both actively in the studio and outside on location, capturing children’s and family portraits. I would describe my studio photography as artistic and emotive, and my outdoor (lifestyle) photography as natural and story telling.
I always try and take the opportunity to hold sessions based around the seasons throughout the year to take advantage of the beauty that is around us. In 2017 I shot in some stunning locations including a bluebell forest, beach, delphinium field, and poppy field. And I plan on holding many mini photo shoots at these beautiful locations again in 2018.
I would like to thank all of my clients for entrusting me with capturing those important family memories; and my own children for their superb modelling efforts and impressive patience in allowing me to photograph them often in a bid to develop and perfect my art.
Here’s a small selection of images from this year’s sessions.
