Rowton Castle is a beautiful 17th century castle wedding venue based near the historic town of Shrewsbury in Shropshire.
I’ve had the pleasure of photographing weddings at Rowton Castle previously and I just love the photo opportunities it brings, whatever the time of year.
Bride Natalie & Groom Luke were hoping for a dry day so that they could hold their ceremony in the beautiful outdoor gardens, with the magnificent castle providing a beautiful backdrop, and fortunately the weather didn’t disappoint.
When I arrived at the bridal dressing rooms at Rowton Castle, it was beautifully sunny, and I was met by the lovely Natalie and her very excited bridesmaids and mother for the morning’s preparations. At the same time, my husband and second shooter for the day, Jack went over to Telford to catch up with Luke and his groomsmen to see how they were getting on!
The girls moved over to the bridal suite in the main castle for the final preparations before the beautiful outside ceremony, which took place on the lawned gardens behind Rowton Castle.
Following the wonderful wedding ceremony it was time for the newlyweds to enjoy some canapees and champagne on the lawn and have some photos with their family and friends.
Then it was time for my favourite part of the day: the Bride & Groom portraits, and Rowton Castle certainly does not disappoint when it comes to wedding photography backdrops.
The wedding breakfast and speeches were held in the grand main reception room at Rowton Castle, which was decorated with beautiful white hydrangea centre pieces and featured a scrumptious naked fruit sponge, 3-tiered wedding cake.
The day finished with the cutting of the cake, and Natalie and Luke’s first dance as husband and wife, before the evening celebrations began!
Many thanks to the lovely Natalie and Luke for choosing Victoria Amrose Photography to photograph your beautiful wedding at Rowton Castle. It was such a pleasure to capture those precious memories for you. xx
