Wedding FAQs

Which location do you cover?

I am based in Shropshire but cover the whole of the UK and overseas. My wedding fees include travel within a 60 miles radius of Shrewsbury, and travel thereafter is charged at 0.45 per mile. A one way distance in excess of 125 miles from SY4 2HA to your venue(s) will incur additional expense costs (for travel & possibly hotel etc.). Please contact me for a quote.

Are you insured?

Yes, I have full professional indemnity insurance, public liability insurance, full equipment insurance and I am also a member of the NPS (Nikon Professional Services).

Do you offer shorter coverage for mid-week/smaller weddings?

Yes, I can offer you a bespoke service to suit your needs. For more details please contact me for a copy of my Wedding Brochure and refer to the A La Carte Pricing structure, or tell me your requirements and I can provide you with a quote.

Do you offer a pre-wedding or engagement shoot?

Yes, I do. This is *£375 and includes the session at an agreed location and 50 digital images on a beautiful USB drive. The Pre-Wedding shoot is a good way of getting used to being in front of the camera and working with me prior to your wedding date. The images from this can also be incorporated into wedding stationary, a wedding guest book, or signature board. *This shoot is included with Orchid Collection.

Do you work with a second photographer?

I have a second photographer included as part of the Orchid Collection and available as an optional extra alongside the Peony & Rose Collections. We can discuss whether an additional photographer will be beneficial to you during our initial consultation.

How would you describe your style?

For me photography is an art from and I put my heart and soul into every wedding I photograph. I feel it is important to capture the day as a story, so I love to photograph details and natural moments as they occur between people throughout the day. I also specialise in creating a beautiful couple portfolio for you as husband and wife to treasure. So I love working with you to create beautiful and elegant, yet natural looking portraits.

Do you edit all the photographs?

Yes, I do. It takes great skill to produce a beautifully crafted image both at the time of shooting and in post production. Following your wedding I spend a lot of time going through the images and applying my individual editing style so that your photos will have a consistent look throughout. I like a clean and fresh colourful look, with punchy black and whites. Take a look at my portfolio to get a feel for my work.

How many images will we receive?

The number of digital images you will receive is dependent upon a number of factors including how many hours of coverage you have, the number of guests at the wedding, and if there is a second photographer present etc. However for each collection I guarantee a minimum number of images which you will receive. Refer to the individual collections for more details.

Can I see the images that don’t make the final cull?

In the days following the wedding I go through all of the images. The ONLY images I discard are duplicates, images where eyes are closed etc., and these are deleted immediately. I would never discard a good image.

In what format will our images be?

You will receive your wedding photographs as High Resolution JPEG files & a copy of these as web sized JPEGs for your personal use on social media.

Do you retain the copyright?

Yes I do, however you have full personal rights to your images including the right to reproduce copies of the images for personal printing use, and for the display on personal social media sites, and these are not watermarked.

Can you hold our date?

Dates are secured on a first come, first served basis and popular dates can be booked well up to 2 years in advance, so it’s important to contact me once you have secured your date and venue. Unfortunately I am unable to hold your wedding date without a full booking fee and completed contract.

What if we need to cancel our wedding – will we get our booking fee back?

If for any reason you need to cancel your wedding photography then let me know at the earliest possible convenience. The booking fee is non-refundable, which covers any administration and guarantees that the date is held exclusively for you. Once paid all other commissions are turned away for that date. For more information on what monies are owed due to cancellation please ask or refer to the contract.

Are you able to provide prints for the guests and albums for parents to purchase separately?

Yes of course. Your gallery will be online and view-able to anyone that you provide the link & password to. Professional prints may be ordered directly through the gallery. Albums, Framed Prints & Canvasses can be ordered through me.

Who do you use for Albums?

I use Queensberry for my Albums. They are known worldwide for the quality of their craftsmanship and deliver beautiful & exquisite albums.

How do I book?

For any questions/queries, date checks, bookings please contact me on 07730 876440 / 01939 261520 or email me at I will then send you my Wedding brochure containing all the information you should need. Usually (although not always) I like to arrange an informal meeting so that we can get to know each other and discuss your requirements. If you decide to go ahead and book then I require a completed booking form and non-refundable booking fee of £350 to secure your date. The full balance is due 4 weeks before the big day.
